At Genis, we believe privacy is a fundamental human right. Your emotional data belongs to you, and we design our products to protect that information.

Data Collection & HealthKit

Genis integrates with Apple HealthKit to read and write your mood data. This allows for a seamless experience across your devices and ensures your mindfulness data is centralized.

We ask for permission to read and write "State of Mind" data. Reading allows us to display your history, and writing enables you to log new moods directly from the Genis app.

Important Note

Your health data never leaves your device or your personal iCloud account. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

How We Use Data

Data is processed locally on your device to provide insights. When utilizing Apple Intelligence, all processing occurs on-device or within Apple's Private Cloud Compute, ensuring your data never leaves Apple's secure ecosystem.

If you choose to use Google Gemini features, necessary data will be sent to Google's APIs for processing. While we minimize the data sent, please note that privacy for data processed by third-party APIs is subject to their respective policies.

Security & Storage

Genis integrates directly with Apple HealthKit, which handles the secure synchronization of data between your iPhone and Apple Watch. We do not maintain our own servers for storing your health data.

Analytics

We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (e.g., app crashes, feature usage) to improve the application. This data is not linked to your identity or health data.
